This is me! I am a physio but I also love being a Mum and a wife and being me. I love my family, my friends, sport, cooking, arts and crafts and my dog! I love being creative and I feel that in my work as a physio it is as much about creativity as it is about science. I hope you enjoy this snapshot of all the things I enjoy.
PS I have included the fails because life can be bumpy and my life is no exception
themed barre class - 60'sm - I love a good dress up! This was during lockdown and I completely decorated my garage into a 60's diner
the original garage barre during lockdown. This is where I spent most of lockdown. When not teaching barre I was gowned, gloved and wearing a mask to treat patients
This is my studio - after lock down I returned the garage back to it's original games room and my lovely hubby and I transformed an old barn into my new studio
My beloved reformer - still going! I've had this for years. I learnt how to teach equipment Pilates back in 1999 and I still love my reformer.
We live in the most amazing place and on a calm, warm day we love to get out on the kayaks and grab a sneaky icecream across the water.
I had an idea to make a standing desk - but I wanted it to be stylish and fun. This guitar was the result. With a little help from hubby I made this from scratch. I'm pretty proud of it
the book launch! A gorgeous little bookstore in Petersfield hosted the book launch for Body Fix Body Fit
I have always found the box that goes with a reformer is too low for most people - so, I made my own. It's the perfect height for most people to sit on
I love a juice. I try to keep the colours similar so it doesn't end up brown. This one had cucumber, apple, pineapple and lime - YUM
Gr-UV-y barre. Barre under the UV lights with a little fluorescent body paint and some disco music
In 2021 I underwent a mastecomy and reconstruction. I was so fortunate to be so well cared for at the wonderful Queen Victoria Hospital
Barre by the water. The locals thought I was mad! This is my portable scaffolding barrre which, you guessed it, I made myself
My first upholstery project. The material is called marshmallow! There are so many layers to this chair but I couldn't be happier about the result
I love my mountain bike, but I don't always stay on it. Here's the result of a slow motion fall over the handlebars - DOH
I come from Perth, Australia. This coastline is a beautiful area to the South of Perth and it had a barre so I thought I'd have a stretch.
A gorgeous friend of mine grows her own salad and veg and she gave me the most enormous cucumber. I made a gazpacho with it and it was seriously good.
